The new El Filibusterismo

Here are my ideas for the modern adaptation of El Filibusterismo. Charlton Yldefonso is an aspiring journalist who does not want to be viewed as an average Filipino. He wants to be autonomous and in his own right lead his countrymen and contribute to the current society of Filipinos through his blogs. When everything goes wrong, he becomes furious and tries to defeat those who are responsible for his misery. Charlton Cosby Beltran Yldefonso (portrayed by Kevin Limkinglam) will be the main character. The characters of Simoun, Basilio and Kabesang Tales are integrated into this character. Charlton's older sister will be based on Juli. After they heard of the death of their parents who are both journalists, they lived with their cousin in Quezon City.
