College dorm life for guys

were a very long time ago! i never got to choose my roommates and never had one stay with me longer than one quarter (and i never had more than one at a time). not so much that they didn't like me, though some of them did have that problem--more that they found someone else more "compatible". after all, when i was in college i was completely gay (no longer the case) and that meant i'd get some hassles. one of the questions in here (about distracting noises) i think has a slight defect. it should be check boxes instead of radio buttons since there are often several different noises that can be annoying. having a roommate crimped my style a lot because i always wanted to meet guys and couldn't find any place to take them. if i could go back to college as an eighteen-year-old now, i would be able to pick a more compatible roommate (bi or bi-accepting, plus nudist or nude-accepting, at least). that might be fun. in the days i went to college, they didn't have such "compatibility profiles". because i never had such a roomie, i never j/o'ed in their presence, and none of them did in mine, though one did bring his g/f in and do it with her while i was there. some quarters i was lucky enough not to have a roommate at all. i have contacted only one of the roomies i had in college. he remembered me but not in much detail--he had suffered a head injury. my dorm was ten residence floors and was co-ed by floor. there was some alcohol consumption but not much else. and of course "non-smoking room" wsa not an option. i rarely heard people having (hetero) sex but knew it happened. i would get myself off when i was alone. i studied mostly in my room, and could usually get in a fair amount (over ten hours a week) but it wasn't adequate for some of the courses i was taking and i didn't do well in most of them. i would sometimes also study in the den and other times in the commons or laundry room. i didn't make use of the exercise facilities but i was almost a mile from the campus so kept in decent shape and avoided any weight gain. i ate in the common cafeteria for the dorm. as for rest rooms, our toilets and showers had partitions but the urinals didn't. very seldom would you see someone nude outside their room or the rest rooms. i wish more people would have done it. if they would ahve, i would have too. i gave my dorm life a 6. it ws aa good experience though not great mostly because my fellow dormies weren't all that accepting of me. i quit and went to a differnt school in my own town, where i lived with my parents. again, somewhat of a style-crimper but at least i could get around more easily. i was able to graduate from there with a small amount of dificulty. i returned to the university years later to do some grad work, and lived off campus in a rooming that was an old converted frat (and since has been torn down) but ate in the dorm. i sometimes had a roommate then but not usually, and they did not crimp my style. anyway, that's my college-life story. a shameless plug for my polls dealing with a different aspect of nudity: Driving Naked Survey (from one who does it a lot)
