College dorm life for guys

My experience is so long ago that it may not be pertinent. I really enjoyed the college dorm experience alot. It was fun and carefree. It was the only time I lived in a big city- as was true of most the guys in the dorm. We had a great time. I got a great room mate and we are best friends to this day. Having a good room mate is the key to a fun college experience. The lack of privacy was not a big deal for me because I grew up in a big family in a small house. Like someone elkse that wrote a while back-- the lack of privacy while using the toilet was not what I would have chosen-- but that is the way it was-. The toilets wer not partitioned- and were literally raised a little higher than the rest of the rest room -shower room. It was an old dorm. But that factor was a small factor in an otheriwse really fun experience. If you are a college freshman and happen to read this- I sincerely hope you have as happy a college experience as I had though we are separated by 37 yrs. Times change, but the capacity for human happiness does not change-- make the most of college!
